Pressure seal bonnet and Hard facing disc
Pressure seal bonnet
Reliable and simple design principles, Red Point pressure seal bonnet (PSB) have proven capability to handle increasingly demanding applications. PSB valve designs weighed significantly less compared to bolted bonnet (BB). BB design body flange and bonnet flange are joined by stud/nuts and a gasket inserted between the faces to seal. Stud/nuts are tightened to prescribed toques to affect optimal sealing. When a system pressure increases a potential leak through body/bonnet joint increases. Our pressure seal design is equipped with bonnet lift-up bolts (live-loading type) to pull the bonnet up and seal against the pressure seal gasket. This creates seal between gasket and ID of the valve body, our segmented thrust ring maintain the load. When system pressure builds-up, so does the load in the bonnet and pressure seal gasket. System pressure increases, potential leak through body/bonnet joint decreases. The minimum consistent operating pressure is in excess of 525psi.
Hard Facing Disc
To prevent wear and tear due to the abrasive media, Red Point uses several surface treatment techniques to increase the service lifetime of valves and its components.
Depending on the material in question, a few techniques we can use are overlay welding, HVOF, Kolsterizing, anodizing or just plain heat treatment.
These treatments, in combination with a keen design, entered to your specific process conditions, will result in a high quality valve, which will perform for many years.
Applications for Pressure Seal Bonnet Globe Valves
Red Point’s globe valves with pressure seal bonnet can be deployed for a wide variety of applications in the oil & gas and (petro)chemical industries when high quality and highly reliable valves are required. A few example applications include:
• High-temperature services
• High-cycle and switching services
• Emergency shutdown valves (ESDV)
• High-integrity pressure protection system (HIPPS)
• High-pressure oxygen, nitrogen or hydrogen
• Solids handling (powders, fines, dust and catalysts)
• Polyethylene or polypropylene
• Coal conversion and gasification
• Thermal fluids
• Separator, filter and drying systems
• Compressor stations
• On/off isolation service
• Oil and gas manifolds
